PURPLE CAKE DAY!

Last week it was purple cake day. The whole school dressed up in purple, it looked so cool. The choir sang in front of the school. They sang a dream worth fighting for.   There was a cake stall, wheelies day, trash 'n' treasure & juices & lemonade. I brought stuff from the cake stall & a juice & some lemonade.

Mangnels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last week Room 5 built Mangnels for our inquiry topic.  Mine & Paige's went 5.5metres.  I felt very nervous when it came to firing them.  Paige and I got in the finals. \Here is a video of Paige and I firing our Mangnel.

Dear Board of Trustees,

I believe that we should not have Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) at school.

BYOD is bring devices such as tablets, Ipads, laptops & ipod touches to

to use for learning.

I  disagree  because kids are too young. I think the kids are too young because

they might not be able to keep it safe. Some kids can't keep track of their clothes

so some might not be able to keep track of their devices.

I disagree that NCS should have BYOD because they cost a lot of money and people

might not be be able to afford them. It won't be fair on others that don't have a device

that they can use at school. Some kids that don't have a device might feel left out.

I don't think NCS should have BYOD because you have to charge them a lot.  It will

cost the school to pay for the electricity for them.

My last reason is that NCS should not have BYOD because 75% of parents don't agree that kids should not have them because they  don't trust them.
